The Fly Fisherman carries a wide variety of pliers, lippers, hook removers, and other fishing tools. All of these items are designed to help enjoy the sport of fishing even more. In addition to reducing angler injuries (nothing like getting a hook in the hand while trying to remove it with fingers), they are designed to help reduce the mortality rate of released fish (this is more important now than ever, due to the increased number of anglers). PLIERS

	Abel Pliers are spring-loaded hard working tools. We offer two sizes of precision-machined pliers, shop-tested for 1,000+ cuts of 80-pound test Monel wire and 100 cuts of 250-pound Nylon-coated braided wire. After that, they still cut 7X mono. Abel Model #2 Pliers at just 5.5 inches in length and 2.9 ounces are designed for all freshwater, bass angling, saltwater and fly-fishing use, capable of bending down the barb on a dry fly or cutting 175-pound braided wire. Abel Model #4 Pliers at 6.5 inches and just 4.1 ounces are for fly-fishing and/or conventional bluewater anglers. They'll remove a hook from any fish or shark, cut 250-pound braided wire or any size monofilament line made. 	RISING WORK PLIERS We created the Work pliers after several BASS fisherman, notably Roy from Fish Tech in SLC, UT asked for a better pair of pliers. Roy told us that there was no good set of stainless steel pliers that excelled in the following functions: open split rings, crimp sleeves and weight, but braided line, operate with one hand, easy to attach and light weight. We had fun designing these pliers and learning about Bass fishing - it is pretty spectacular to watch a Bass take a plastic frog imitation off the surface. Almost as cool as trout taking a dry fly - almost...
	RISING NEEDLE PLIERS These two pliers are by far our most conservative and "by the book." Why? Well, people like this style and wanted us to offer them. Simple as that. Granted we do not hold these up as evidence of our creativity and originality, but they serve their function and do so in a stout and practical manner. Sometimes it is not necessary to engineer the hell out of everything just to be different.

HOOK REMOVERS

	SWTL07 Forceps/Crimping Tool A patented combo tool with unique lateral power jaws that "debarbs" hooks. Provides the gripping power of pliers, eliminating the need to carry two tools. 5 1/2" long with three-position lock.

	RISING CROCODILE The Crocodile pliers are the BEST for all types of Fly Fishing. We worked on them for 16 months before we were confident enough in their unparalleled performance. Both as the tool to work on your line - crimping weight, snipping tippet, etc. - and the one for safely releasing fish, or removing the hook from your friends hand. The unconventional look of the Crocodile jaws and the thin arms leading up to them are what make this tool so exceptional for Fly Fishing, especially dry fly.

LIPPERS/SCALES

	Lippa4Life - USA - (machined aluminum) Catch and Release doesn't mean much if the fish is scratched, dropped, and mishandled while you try to take the hook out of their lip - this is why we invented the Lippa4Life. By using the lippa, one is able to control a fish by holding onto their lower jaw thereby making it easier to remove the hook. If the fish is not excessively large, it is better still to hold the fish by the lower jaw and roll it on its back - as this subdues the fish quickly. Also available in stainless steel.
	RAPALA LOCK N WEIGH Simply slide the Lock 'n Weigh over the jaw of the fish, and the fish's own weight does the rest. High-grade cascade steel and no-slip handle withstand the rigors of the saltwater environment. With a built-in scale, our 20-lb. or 60-lb. capacity models are accurate to within one increment measurement.
	BOGAGRIP BogaGrip has four key functions that work together: o Weight of the fish causes the prongs to shut even tighter. o Locking mechanism keeps prongs in tightest position o Swivel motion eliminates torque from a spinning fish. o Shock absorber dampens a fish's attempt to get free. BogaGrip is made in America of U.S.-made materials. This quality tool is made of stainless steel and high-performance black acetal thermoplastic. HOOK FILES

	Renzetti Hook File This file has a very smooth cutting action and has a special coating to extend the life of the file. The handle is ergonomically designed to fit the contour of the palm of the hand. This natural fit makes it easy to apply the correct pressure when filing, giving you the perfect grip control.
	Luhr-Jenson Hook File Sometimes you do it all perfectly and still fail to catch the fish that strikes. If your hook points are dull, even perfect timing won’t help. Luhr Jenson’s Hook File is made of high-carbon steel and has an ultrafine cutting edge so you can keep your edge.
	Rising Diamond Hook File 1. Double Grooves on MD grit side. Anglers only use the grooves to sharpen their hooks (the flat section is for knives) so by using two grooves on the available space we increased the longevity and use fullness of the sharpener. 2. KNIVES/MULTI-TOOLS

The AbelBlade knife is constructed of the finest components and materials including Made in the USA high carbon, high chrome, 154CM knife grade stainless steel. It has been hardened to 60RC; the handle or frame of the knife is cold rolled 6061 aircraft quality aluminum. For heat treating, we use the world famous Paul Bos System.
While the blades of some knives can collapse, the "liner-lock," (the blade-locking mechanism) of fine spring steel can't close until you deliberately move it to the side with your thumb, thus allowing the blade to fold back. It is engineered for quick, single-handed use . . . vital when you need to hang onto a fishing rod while cutting a snagged anchor rope, cut away brush while float-tubing or cut through a streamside tangle. It's a must while camping, or on a float trip. The heavy-duty (removable) spring steel pocket clip has been designed to fit on the outside of your shirt, pants, wading shorts or wader pocket with the knife securely inside.

All tools are snap locked into position when in use, thus eliminating the possibility of a cutting edge suddenly collapsing.

ACCESSORIES
