- Peggy and Gary, owners of “The Fly
Fisherman”, have both been fishing since they were children and
collectively have over 30 years of fly fishing experience. They
love to travel and arrange trips to the Caribbean, Alaska and
Central America where one of the biggest rewards comes from
watching the excitement of someone catch their first sailfish,
dolphin, bonefish, salmon or other native species on a fly. They
have caught many species on fly, including rock bass, halibut
and almost all of the varieties of salmon in Alaska, lodge
record northern pike in Canada, trout in the western U.S.,
sailfish, dorado, tuna, snook and hooked marlin in Costa Rica,
and bonefish and tarpon in many areas of the Caribbean and
Florida. They have taken a safari in Africa and caught and
released near record tiger fish and record nembwe on the Zambezi
River in Namibia, and of course many of the various gamefish,
both fresh and salt water in Florida, except for the elusive
“Mr. Permit”. I
The Kokaisel’s enjoy traveling with their customers and are
always looking forward to the opportunity of sharing their
experiences from different destinations and helping customers
pick out the most desirable equipment and gear to ensure that
each fishing experience is the best that it can be.

- Captain Gary Henderson
is a Florida native and began his fishing career
tagging along with his dad in Central Florida,
learning how to fish the many lakes that surrounded
the area. Later on, he moved to the central, eastern
side of the state and Gary’s interests drew him in
the direction of saltwater where he has fished the
blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the pristine
flats of the Indian River Lagoon System for the past
thirty-five years. With over twenty-three years of
fly tying and casting, Gary now instructs both tying
and fly-casting at the Orlando Fly Fisherman, as
well as manages the store. Gary also is
co-owner and associate editor of a literature and
art website,
http://www.farandawayonline.com dedicated to
celebrating essence of the great outdoors.
