Since we consider their fly rods to be one of the best, selecting G-Loomis spinning and bait casting rods was an easy decision.  These rods are used by the majority of our guides, including Captain Nick Sassic, Captain Scott MacCalla, Captain Doug Blanton and Captain John Tarr.  G-Loomis has one of the largest selection of light tackle rods available in the market.  They have rods for everything from panfish to marlin.  We have included the rods that we typically carry in-stock.  However, if you don't see what you are looking for, we can get it.

PANFISH RODS

Panfish
A dynamic of light-duty and ultra-light freshwater spinning rods. We designed them primarily for panfish, but they satisfy a variety of different APPLICATIONS like small in-line spinners for bass; darts and light jigs for shad; spinners for trout; small bait for bonefish; and even spoons for sea trout. Now, don't get us wrong... they aren't like our spin jig rods. They are more of a LIGHT-DUTY all-around spinning rod with relatively soft butt-sections and light tips. None are rated for over 10-pound line and most are in the 4- to 6- pound test range. If you're fishing in tight quarters or really small creeks, we'd suggest the shorter models, but if you frequent larger streams or ponds and lakes, we'd recommend the longer rods because they protect light line better and give you increased casting DISTANCE and a longer, more effective hook set.

BASS CASTING RODS

Casting
There's been a trend in the past few years towards longer rods and it's a valid one, especially since a lot of our lakes lose their cover as they mature and the brush and trees die off. Long rods are great when you're fishing open water with plenty of CASTING ROOM, but when you start moving to the bank and the cover gets in the way, those long rods just won't cut it. This is where our Casting Rods SHINE. Shorter than their Mag Bass cousins, available in 5'6" or 6' lengths, they have the same fast actions and responsive tips you need for low trajectory, accurate casts. A new (almost football shaped) rear grip make the 5 1/2-footers more comfortable to cast and gives you more control.

BASS SPINNING RODS

A real bass fisherman never, but never, admitted using a spinning rod, unless it was for panfish, and even then it was iffy. But times are CHANGING and so are techniques. First out of the closet were the die-hard smallmouth anglers. They favored the spinning rod because they used lighter line and smaller lures to fool those super cautious brown bass. Then, as finesse fishing came into play, more and more anglers found the spinning rod to be the PERFECT SOLUTION for the clear water lakes where spotted bass and smallmouths abound. The only negative was nobody ever really offered the nice, fast-action rods that the casting crowd enjoyed. That was until we introduced the Spin Jig Series. It's the unique blend of DYNAMIC tapers and super-sensitive materials that helped make these the rod of choice for serious light line anglers. Grubs, small worms, hair jigs, split shot rigs, "mojo" rigs... you name it, the spin jig rod is a great option.

GREENWATER RODS

Popping to casting, finesse to brute strength, if you fish the "SKINNY" water then you're the perfect candidate for our Greenwater rods. This saltwater series has flats anglers everywhere buzzing. The brilliant aqua color (actually, it's called "seafoam green") is the first thing you'll notice, but on closer inspection, you'll discover a whole new STANDARD for light-duty saltwater rods. We spent a lot of time talking to flats guides and worked closely with our dealers and field staff in the development of this series of shallow water rods (in some cases, not-so-shallow for a few critters), but the bottom line is a sharp looking rod, along with the PERFORMANCE you expect from G.Loomis. You ain't in Kansas any more Toto.

LIVEBAIT SPINNING RODS

If you currently fish a POPPING rod, but want to move into a little deeper water, chasing larger fish with heavier line, these live bait rods are the answer. Powerful enough to handle a MULTITUDE of saltwater situations-from bluewater to bays, mangrove-laced coves to open flats-they are lightweight, precision fishing tools. Whether you're tossing pinfish to tarpon or dropping jigs around a shipwreck for small grouper, you'll find these rods surprisingly powerful and as tough and durable as they come. They're extremely VERSATILE, giving you the option to pitch live bait, cut bait, lures and leadhead jigs, and they're especially effective around boat docks, bridges or heavy cover in the back country.

PRO BLUE RODS

Everyone says dogs tend to look like their MASTERS. Well, you may have also noticed fishing rods tend to look like the fish they're built to pursue. Trout rods are long and sleek. Bass rods, short and powerful. And saltwater rods are, well, to see this analogy through you'll have to turn the pages. From looking at everyone else's rods, it would seem that they think fish in the ocean are big, slow, mule-headed oafs. But we know better. Our SALTWATER rods represent what the fish in the ocean are truly like. Sure, our rods are big, but they're sleek too. Powerful. Fast. Like a tuna. Our saltwater rods. designed with the help of seasoned pros on both coasts, are lighter, tougher and more sensitive than anything else you'll cast into the salt. If you want to catch big, dull fish, stick with one of those other rods. If you want to catch big, fast, POWERFUL fish, try one of ours.

Just remember, these rods are the ones we typically carry in-stock.  Please visit the G-Loomis website for an entire product list at www.g-loomis.com.  We can order any rod that you like and have it within days.
